Coix lachryma-jobi or Job's Tears are small seeds used for wish magic.
Hoodoo practice dictates that the wisher hold the seeds in their hand while making a wish, then the seeds are placed in their pocket and carried for seven days. On the 7th day the seeds are removed, the 23rd Psalm is said, and the seeds are thrown over the left shoulder into running water.
In Mexican folk magic the seeds are carried in groups of 3 or 7 inside a pocket or mojo bag for money drawing and good luck.
Not for eating, do not ingest.
