Pitchfork devil tin ornament.
This style of ornaments are repujado, hammered and textured using repoussé techniques. Hand cut, hammered and hand painted by an artisan in Oaxaca, Mexico and purchased at a fair price, this lovely tin ornament boasts vivid, long-wearing lacquer paint in jewel tones. There is a slight variation from ornament to ornament, but they're very near in size and design.
Overall size is ~3.25" wide and 4.5" tall.
Photographed in both warm and cool light to show color variance.
Though the lacquer paint lasts for years and years, the cut edges may allow oxidation of the steel underneath the tin layer. You can clear lacquer the edges for extra protection if you're keeping it in a very humid area.
